Mubali (USA)
I am a psychedelic trance dj/producer living in Berkeley, California. I have been a dj since 2000 and my styles have varied during the course of the past few years... I mainly spin Psychedelic Trance and occasionally Drum & Bass/ Jungle. In August of 2003, I began producing my own Psychedelic Trance and really enjoy writing my own music. I have many tracks and have several releases on labels like Mistress of Evil records, Trishula Records, Manic Dragon Records, Insomnia Records, Acidance Records, Geomagnetic TV, and a few upcoming compilation tracks on labels like Auraquake and Tantrumm Records.
I was a violist for 10 years in my adolescence and have been a fan of all types of music, instrumental and non... I am a big fan of all types of psychedelic music, as well as funk, jazz, rock, and heavy metal.... I have found that in electronic dance music, a lot of the structure is similar to classical music. I also have been researching a lot of classical music to use as structural inspiration for my own pieces... My Debut album Cats @ Play has been released on Trishula Records in March 2006, and now I am beginning conceptual ideas for the next Mubali album as well as starting a new abstract electronica project, Xabuumuphu.
